How to dispense less than on-hand inventory with pharmacy system integration

Description

This tutorial discusses how to dispense less inventory than available, ensuring you keep some items in stock for future customers.

Transcript

This tutorial will discuss how to dispense less than what you billed with a pharmacy management system integration. This is great if you desire to keep some inventory in stock for another customer, while waiting for your order. In this particular example, the customer needs 30 pills. But you only have 17. And you want to give the customer 10. In C2 Keep, you can change the amount you're dispensing. So you can dispense 10 or maybe only 9. Let's go ahead and give them 11. Once updated, hit dispense. Enter your PIN. The system records a dispense for 11. You'll owe the customer 19 pills. You can easily confirm with the 'owed' pending card the system creates for you. Click on the 'owed' pending transaction card. You see the note that you gave the customer 11 of 30. And you owe them 19 pills. You can see the six you have in stock... And you're able to split the script with multiple NDCs, too. And that's how you dispense less than what you have in a situation where you want to keep some pills for another customer.
