Purpose of the document
This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a Waste or Destroy inventory order.
Requirements to Complete Process
The pharmacy must have inventory in stock to destroy.
A witness is required to record a waste/destroy transaction.
To begin, select Waste Destructions from the left menu, and then choose Waste Destroy Inventory.
Select the drug that you wish to waste or destroy.
Enter the name of the destruct and the method you will use to waste or destroy the drugs.
Specify the location and the transaction date/time where the destruction took place.
Enter the amount of the drug or pills that were been destroyed. You can add other NDCs by clicking the + Add new NDC link.
After entering the required information, select Waste or Destroy Drug.
Enter your PIN and have the witness enter their PIN to complete recording the transaction.
Upon completing these steps, you will successfully create a Waste Destroy order.
